This video explains the Cup Conveying process, which ensures a steady and controlled transfer of cups from the Cupper to the Bodymakers in can manufacturing.  Please note that not all cup conveying systems are identical to the one shown in this video.

1) Cups Ejected onto an Air Table
After being formed in the Cupper, cups are ejected onto an air table. The air table uses controlled airflow to guide and move the cups smoothly.


2) Transfer to Mechanical Conveying
The air table transitions the cups onto mechanical conveyors, which provide more controlled movement toward the next stage.


3) Vacuum Elevator to the Upper Level
A Vacuum Elevator lifts the cups to the upper level of the production line, where they continue their journey to the Bodymakers.


4) Mechanical Conveyors Move Cups to the Bodymaker Aisle
Once on the upper level, mechanical conveyors transport the cups toward the Bodymaker aisle, where cups will accumulate above the Bodymakers on the upper level.


5) Air Conveying for Single-File Alignment
Air conveying helps cups transition cups into a single-file arrangement, at which point they will enter gravity drops and feed into each Bodymaker.
