Cupper Scrap Handling System: Key Components
This video, created in collaboration with integratedAIR Systems, highlights the main components of the Cupper Scrap Handling system, which removes web scrap (unused aluminum left over after cup formation) and sends it to the Baler room, where it is compressed into bales for recycling.
Cupper Scrap Hood:
Utilizes vacuum to remove web scrap from the Cupper, sucking it away and sending it to the scrap baler.
Extraction Isolation Valve:
Cuts off the vacuum to the Scrap Hood during a coil change, allowing the coil to be pulled through without obstruction.
Scrap Ducting:
Transports the web scrap from the Cupper to the baler room via a vacuum system.
This system ensures efficient removal and recycling of scrap material during the can manufacturing process.
