Decorator Process from Infeed to Spindle Disc
This video outlines the key steps inside the Decorator, starting from the infeed to the Spindle Disc.
The process begins with the vacuum starwheel, which transfers cans onto the Spindle Disc. The Spindle Disc holds each can on a rotating mandrel, preparing it for decoration and over-varnish application.
If a can is not properly seated onto a mandrel, it will be rejected before the printing process begins, ensuring that only correctly positioned cans move forward.
The Print Head Assembly is equipped with multiple Inker Assemblies, each responsible for applying a different color ink onto the printing blanket. These Inker Assemblies transfer ink smoothly between steel and rubber rollers, ensuring consistent and accurate color transfer.
