From Cup to Can: The Bodymaker and Trimmer Process
This video demonstrates the process of cups dropping into the Bodymaker, moving through the Trimmer, and emerging as trimmed cans, ready to be transported to the upper level for the next stages.
After the Cupper, cups are transported in mass to the upper level. They then move into single-file Cup Drops, where they are gravity-fed into the Bodymakers.
Once inside the Bodymaker, each cup is transformed into a can. Afterward, the cans are sent to the Trimmer, where the top, jagged edge of the can is trimmed to create a smooth, even top.
After the trimming process, the cans are covered in lubrication and Bodymaker Coolant and are directed to the Washer for cleaning, preparing them for further stages of production.
