How do Can Washers work?

Mass Entry on Conveyor:

Cans enter the Washer in mass, moving along a conveyor belt. This entry is designed to handle large volumes, ensuring efficient throughput.

Solution Tanks and Pumps:

Tanks hold and mix specific cleaning solutions for each stage of the Washer. Pumps then feed these solutions into the system, supplying the necessary flow for effective cleaning at each stage.

Top and Bottom Spray Nozzles:

Positioned throughout each stage, spray nozzles apply cleaning solution from both the top and bottom, thoroughly cleaning the cans’ surfaces. This dual-directional approach ensures that all residues and contaminants are effectively removed.

Air Blow-Offs:

As cans exit each stage, air blow-offs create an air curtain to remove excess solution from the dome of each can. This step minimizes contamination between stages by reducing the amount of carryover solution, ensuring each stage remains effective.

Final Transition to Dry-Off Oven:

After moving through multiple cleaning stages, the freshly cleaned cans are transferred to the Dry-Off Oven. Here, any remaining moisture is removed, leaving the cans dry and ready for subsequent processes like coating and decoration.
