How Cans Enter the IC Spray Machine
The infeed of cans into the IC (Internal Coating) Spray Machine (also called LSM - Laquer Spray Machine) happens in the following steps.
1. Single-File Entry: Cans move from mass into single file rows on the upper level of the can plant.

2. Horizontal Orientation: Cans move from a vertical orientation to a horizontal orientation as they begin their descent.
3. Gravity-Fed Descent: The horizontally oriented cans descend using gravity to maintain a consistent flow.
4. Star Wheel Infeed: Cans are guided into the machine using an indexing star wheel infeed.
5. Spraying Process: Inside the machine, cans enter pockets where two spray guns apply an internal coating—one gun per pocket, for complete coverage.
