Palletizer Overview

This video explains how the Palletizer stacks finished cans onto pallets, preparing them for shipment. Proper palletizing ensures stability, efficiency, and protection during transportation.

Step-by-Step Palletizing Process

1) Cans Enter in Mass on Mechanical Conveyors
Cans arrive at the Palletizer area in mass flow, transported by mechanical conveyors.

2) Air Table and Laner Create a Void-Free Pattern
An air table helps guide the cans into the Laner, where they are arranged into a tightly packed, void-free pattern. This ensures stability when stacking.

3) Palletizing Begins with a New Pallet and Layer Pad
A new pallet is positioned at the base of the Palletizer, and a layer pad (also called a separator sheet) is placed on top. The layer pad provides a stable foundation for stacking.

4) Stagger Head Sweeps Cans onto the Pallet
The Stagger Head moves cans onto the pallet in a controlled motion, ensuring proper alignment.

5) Pallet Moves Down, Layer Pad is Applied, and Process Repeats
After each layer of cans is added, the pallet lowers to make room for the next layer. Another layer pad is applied, and the cycle continues until the pallet is fully stacked.

6) Finished Pallets Move to the Strapper
Once complete, pallets are transported via chain conveyors to the Strapper, where strapping is applied to secure the cans for shipping.
