World of Cans
Palletizer Process
This video takes the viewer through the various steps involved in palletizing cans in the Palletizer area.
Cans first move towards the Palletizer on a mechanical conveyor. They then transfer to an Air Table and pass through a Laner, which arranges the cans into the correct nested pattern, eliminating voids (areas with missing cans).
Next, the cans reach the Stagger Head, responsible for sweeping a full layer of cans onto the pallet, which is positioned in the main hoist well.

The pallet is built through a repeated process:
1) Sweep a layer of cans onto the pallet.
2) Lower the pallet by one layer.
3) Apply a Layer Pad (also known as a slip sheet or separator sheet).
4) This process continues until the pallet is fully stacked and ready for shipment.
