Cada Lata Conta Recycling Tour

Cada Lata Conta (Every Can Counts) is a Brazilian project focused on promoting aluminum can recycling and environmental consciousness. Launched by Abralatas, the Brazilian Association of Aluminum Can Manufacturers, the initiative highlights the importance of this sustainable practice.   

Aluminum cans are infinitely recyclable, meaning they can be recycled repeatedly without losing their quality. This significantly reduces the environmental impact of can production. Recycling aluminum cans also cuts down on energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.   

Cada Lata Conta takes a multi-pronged approach to achieve its goals. They organize educational campaigns to raise awareness about the benefits of recycling aluminum cans. They also partner with major events like the Rio Carnival to set up recycling stations and promote responsible waste disposal among attendees.   

One of their most interesting initiatives is the Recycling Tour, which takes place simultaneously in various cities across the globe. During this event, recycling ambassadors hit the streets, collecting cans and educating the public about the significance of proper waste management.   

Cada Lata Conta's dedication to environmental responsibility has played a crucial role in Brazil's remarkable achievement of maintaining a recycling rate above 95% for aluminum cans for over a decade.
