Inside the Autobagger: The First Frame Assembly

This video provides an overview of the First Frame Assembly inside the Autobagger, a system responsible for automating the packaging of beverage ends into bags for shipment. The First Frame Assembly ensures precise counting, accumulation, and controlled transfer of ends into packaging.

First Frame Assembly Process

  1. Counting and Dividing Ends
    • The First Frame Assembly counts the incoming ends as they enter the system.
    • Ends are grouped into sticks—bundles of ends that are processed together.
  2. Shuttle Actuators and Accumulation
    • Shuttle actuators push sticks of ends into the Accumulation Section.
    • In the Accumulation Section, compressed air holds the ends upright, preventing tipping or misalignment.
  3. Pick-and-Place Mechanism for Load Balancing
    • A pick-and-place system temporarily stores sticks of ends in accumulation lanes, balancing the flow of incoming ends.
    • This prevents bottlenecks and ensures a steady supply of ends for bag loading.
  4. Bag Loading Process
    • Once ready, bag loader lanes position the sticks of ends for packaging.
    • The bag loader pushes the sticks through bag horns, which guide them into pre-formed plastic bags.
