Knowledge Foundation

Can Making 101
The journey of working in a can plant begins with Can Making 101. In this half-day course, new employees gain a foundational understanding of the can-making process. The training includes guided walks on the production floor, ensuring that classroom knowledge is effectively translated into real-world can manufacturing practices.
Machine Orientation
Machine Orientation is a crucial step in preparing to become a Machine Operator. This half-day course combines classroom learning with hands-on experience on the production floor. Employees will learn the core responsibilities of a machine operator, with a trainer guiding them to understand the significance of each task and its impact on the machine they will be operating.
Hands-on Training
Hands-On Training combines classroom instruction with on-the-job learning. For each module, employees begin with an eLearning course to build foundational knowledge on the topic. Following this, they transition to the production floor, where a trainer guides them through practical on-the-job training. The process culminates in a skills checkout to ensure proficiency in the tasks learned.
Transition Period
The transition period is a critical phase in the training process. After completing hands-on training, the employee will work on the production floor under the supervision of a line-lead. The line-lead serves as a mentor, guiding the employee and helping them build confidence and expertise as they develop into a capable and knowledgeable machine operator.
