Leak Detection for Ends
Prime Controls’ end light leak detection system, featuring Eclipse Technology, delivers superior performance for high-speed EOE conversion presses. Utilizing advanced light generation and detection, it outperforms conventional methods by 20x, accurately detecting 0.5-micron holes and cracks at speeds exceeding 1,000 ends per minute. Eclipse Technology enhances defect detection by efficiently penetrating smaller cracks, while built-in self-test and monitoring ensure comprehensive end inspection.

Eclipse Technology for Can Ends
Eclipse Highlights
PRECISION & SPEED
Eclipse Technology surpasses conventional light testing by 20x, detecting holes and cracks as small as 0.5 microns in can ends at speeds exceeding 1,000 ends per minute per lane. Available for new EOE conversion presses, it can also be retrofitted to existing end light test systems for enhanced detection capabilities.
QUALITY DESIGN
The latest solid-state detection and illumination circuitry offers advanced features including vibration resistance, temperature compensation, low noise, immediate recovery from blindness, and ambient light rejection. These capabilities ensure reliable, accurate detection performance even in challenging manufacturing environments.
USER FOCUSED
The full-color touch screen display offers optional Modbus and Ethernet/IP connectivity. Key features include a leak log, measurement values, stroke count, result codes, system fault status, lane status screens, and lane history. These functionalities provide real-time monitoring and detailed diagnostics, enhancing system performance and user control.
Maintenance & Assistance
Setup Assistance/Installation Support
The Prime Controls Service Team offers in-person setup assistance for our Eclipse Leak Detection systems. The service team helps with system setup, configuration, and installation support, ensuring your system is up and running correctly and efficiently in no time.
Maintenance/Service
Over time wearable parts of a system can gradually become out of spec from the wear and tear of normal operations. When these components become worn, it can affect the accuracy of Eclipse’ Measurement systems. For this reason, we recommend yearly routine maintenance on your Eclipse Leak Detection System to help ensure it maintains its high degree of accuracy and reliability.
Training
A poorly trained employee can add unnecessary cost to the can or end. For that reason, yearly system training is recommended for all users who will be working with your Eclipse Leak Detection system. Basic and Advance training sessions are available to ensure users are up-to-date on the operations of your system. Virtual training sessions are also available.
